Beergarita

You can’t NOT have a good time while drinking a beergarita. It’s basically canon at this point. I mean, beer and margaritas are perhaps the two best good-time drinks ever made, right? Since we all define a “good time” differently, I’m giving you two versions of my beergarita: a classic Michelada-style Margarita for one and a six-pack of beergaritas served straight from the bottle. Because no one should have to choose between beer and margaritas.
Watch Me Mix a Beergarita Six-pack
How to Make a Beergarita (for one)
- Rim a double rocks glass with chamoy and Tajín, or run a lime wedge around the rim and dip into Sal de Gusano. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, lime juice, agave, and Cointreau.
- Add ice and shake well until chilled.
- Double strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- Top with cold Mexican beer like Modelo, Pacifico, or Corona.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and optional jalapeño slices.
How to Make a Beergarita Six-pack

A six-pack of beergaritas served straight from the bottle is one of the most fun drinks you can make for a party. Think game days, birthdays, or really just any time you want margaritas without the shaker.
Start with a six-pack of your favorite Mexican beer and make sure all the ingredients are fully chilled. Lukewarm beer is a hard no. Open each beer and carefully pour out about 4 oz from each bottle to create room. Let’s see… 4oz. x 6 beers = 24 oz. of extra beer. Maybe nurse the extra beer until everyone arrives for the party? Idk. Use your best judgement.
You’ve got two options for the next step:
Option 1: More Work
Make your Beergarita six-pack individually by adding the following to each bottle:
- ¾ oz lime juice
- A splash of agave syrup
- ¾ oz chilled Cointreau
- 1.5 oz chilled tequila
Option 2: Less Work
Batch your margarita ingredients first by mixing 4.5 oz fresh lime juice, 1–2 oz agave syrup, 4.5 oz Cointreau, and 9 oz tequila blanco in a pitcher. Pour about 3 oz. of the mixture into each bottle.
