Make it With Me

  1. Start by adding the strawberries to a blender with just enough water to get everything moving. Blend until completely smooth.
  2. If you prefer a smoother lemonade, pour the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to strain out the seeds before adding it to your pitcher or drink dispenser.
  3. Pour in the fresh lemon juice, mint syrup, and cold filtered water, then give everything a really good stir.
  4. Right before serving, add plenty of ice along with sliced lemons, fresh strawberries, and a handful of mint sprigs for a colorful presentation.
  5. Serve as is, or top each glass with sparkling water or prosecco for a bubbly twist. If you’re hosting, set out a few bottles of vodka, gin, or tequila so guests can make it their own.

Make Your Own Mint Syrup

Homemade mint syrup takes just a few minutes and is worth the extra effort. Combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan with a generous handful of fresh mint leaves. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it gently simmer for about a minute, then remove from the heat and allow the mint to steep for 15–20 minutes. Strain out the mint leaves, let the syrup cool completely, and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
