Meet the ultimate late-summer-to-fall transition cocktail: The Peach Cobbler Old Fashioned. It’s basically dessert in a glass, no fork required. Think: silky bourbon, nutty almond liqueur, warm cinnamon, and a peach cobbler syrup.

Peach Syrup Tips
When making your peach syrup, you have two options: fresh raw peaches or grilled peaches. If using grilled peaches, take your ripe peaches and brush them with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon before they hit the grill. The heat caramelizes the fruit, drawing out sweetness and adding a hint of smokiness. A Grilled Peach Old Fashioned gives a caramelized “I’m not ready for summer to be over” vibe that I totally support.

Peach Cobbler Old Fashioned

- 2 oz bourbon
- ½ oz almond liqueur
- ½ oz peach cobbler syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash old fashioned bitters
- 2 ripe peaches, chopped (raw or grilled, see instructions below)
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- dash cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
- splash vanilla extract
Instructions

- Stir until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- Garnish with a peach slice, cinnamon stick, or both.
- (Optional) For grilled peaches: Melt butter with brown sugar and cinnamon, then brush over peach halves. Grill peaches cut-side down for 4–6 minutes until caramelized. Let cool.
- In a cast iron skillet or saucepan, combine chopped peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Cook over medium heat (either on the stovetop or grill) for 5–8 minutes, until the peaches are soft and the sugar has melted.
- Transfer to a blender with ½ cup water and blend until smooth.
- Strain the syrup into a container, then stir in a splash of vanilla extract. Let cool before using.
