Frozen Cherry Daiquiri

Please, please, please make me a frozen cherry daiquiri. 🍒
Because this summer? It’s a throw-it-in-the-blender kind of hot — and we are fully leaning into it.
This Frozen Cherry Daiquiri is tart, juicy, icy, and just boozy enough to cool things down and turn up the fun. Made with frozen cherries, fresh lime juice, cherry syrup, and white rum, it’s one of those cocktails that takes zero effort and tastes like it came from a fancy beachfront bar.
And just between us — I’ve swapped the rum for vanilla vodka before and let me tell you: fire. 🔥
Frozen cherries are the star here. They give the drink its deep color and sweet-tart flavor without needing extra sugar or fuss. Pair that with a solid pour of white rum (or vanilla vodka), bright lime juice, and cherry syrup, and you’ve got a flavor-packed drink that’s icy, smooth, and totally refreshing.
It’s fruity and nostalgic in the best way — like a grown-up Slurpee with balance and bite. And with just five ingredients, it’s as easy as it is irresistible.

Cherry Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup cherries pitted (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup water
- ¾ cup sugar adjust to taste
- Optional: ½ tsp lemon juice or a small strip of lemon zest for brightness
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine cherries, water, and sugar.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Simmer for about 10–15 minutes, until the cherries soften and begin to break down.
- (Optional) Add lemon juice or zest for extra zing.
- Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Strain through a fine mesh strainer, pressing down gently on the cherries to extract maximum flavor.
- Let the syrup cool completely, then transfer to a sealed jar or bottle.
- Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Ingredient Notes
- Frozen cherries – Use dark sweet cherries for a deeper color and richer flavor. No need to thaw!
- Cherry syrup – Store-bought or homemade (just simmer cherries with sugar and water).
- White rum – Clean and crisp, but easily swappable. Vanilla vodka = dessert vibes.
- Lime juice – Fresh is best to brighten and balance the fruit.
Tips & Variations
- Make it extra boozy – Add a ½ oz cherry liqueur or float rum on top.
- No cherry syrup? – Sub with grenadine or double up on cherries and sweeten to taste.
- Mocktail version – Skip the alcohol and add a splash of soda water or cherry juice concentrate.
- Serve it pitcher-style – Multiply ingredients and blend in batches for a party.
