How to Make a Poison Apple Cocktail

1. To a cocktail shaker, add apple whiskey, sour apple schnapps (like Apple Pucker), cranberry juice, and gold edible glitter.
2. Add ice and shake.
3. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4. To garnish, stir in more edible glitter.

Apple Whiskey

There’s good apple whiskey and bad apple whiskey. Good apple whiskey uses natural ingredients like apple cider and fruit juice and will often be proud enough to put those on the label. Bad apple whiskeys will use artificial syrups and flavorings that will make it taste like a Jolly Rancher. The bad ones are also usually lower proof.

Sour Apple Schnapps

Sour apple schnapps is a sweet, tart green liqueur with roughly 15% ABV. It’s sweet and tart and smells like green apples.

Cranberry Juice

Make sure to get cranberry juice with no added sugar or other juices blended in.

Edible Gold Glitter

Edible gold glitter is your holiday hosting best friend for spooky or whimsical desserts and cocktails like this one. It’s odorless and flavorless, but give whatever you add it to a gold shimmer. If heavy-handed it can sometimes change the texture so only use what you need to get the sparkle. Edible glitter does not dissolve, so it will eventually settle at the bottom of the cocktail after a little while.
