Strawberry Margarita

Try a Strawberry Margarita for Taco Tuesdays and every other day that ends with a ‘y.’ The homemade strawberry syrup is super easy and can be made spicy with a little jalapeños added. That really kicks it up about ten notches. You can also do a classic Join Jules move and add Aperol (see instructions at the end!)
If you want to scale it up for a pitcher of margs, my new favorite way to make batch drinks is by making a purée. So whether you have fresh strawberries or cucumbers or jalapeños, you can blend them with water, strain, and use in my cocktails! It’s such an easy way to add flavor.
Pro tip: if you have fruit going bad you could make a purée and freeze in an ice tray 😉

How to Make a Strawberry Margarita
- In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, Cointreau, strawberry syrup, and lime juice and shake.
- Shake for at least 30 seconds.
- Rim glass with lime juice and Tajin.
- Option to double strain, but I like to just strain to get all the goods in the glass.
- Garnish with a sliced strawberry and enjoy!

Strawberry Margarita with Aperol
One of my favorite things to do to a margarita is add Aperol. It gives it a beautiful deep orange color and adds a complex bitterness that makes the margarita feel uniquely my own. To make a Strawberry Margarita with Aperol, follow the instructions above, but add 1/2 oz. of Aperol.
