Batched Watermelon Basil Margaritas
Batched Watermelon Basil Margaritas; serves approx. 8-10
Disclaimer: use a large pitcher that can hold at least 10 cups/80 oz of liquid
I’m going to make a bold claim… this is my FAVORITE batched margarita to date, I’m not kidding. Maybe it’s because watermelons are so sweet and in season right now but wow, if you love these flavors you have to try this! I’ll also put a single serve recipe down below too
Let’s make this at home:
In a LARGE pitcher add:
4 cups fresh watermelon juice (just blend watermelon & strain, approx 1 small watermelon yields 4 cups)
2 cups tequila, Blanco or reposado
1.5 cups lime juice
1.5 cups orange liqueur
1 cup basil syrup
Mix together & refrigerate to chill.
When serving, rim glasses with spicy salt, add ice and pour!
Single serve:
4 oz watermelon juice
2 oz tequila
3/4 oz Orange liqueur
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz basil syrup
Add to a cocktail shaker and shake.
Rim glass, add ice, strain & garnish!
Xoxo, cheers!
