What are we drinking this week?
If you’ve never tried an Aperol Spritz, you are simply missing out on life. They sell 300,000 per day, in the Veneto region of Italy, for a reason. This easy three-ingredient drink simply MUST go in your cocktail rotation. Jules brings it with Como Spritz, introducing us to Cynar. Stick around for the history of Aperol.

Brad, how do I make it?
Classic version… aint wrong
3-2-1
BIG wine glass goblet chalice whatever
3 part aperol (capeletti good , aperol more orange flavor)
2 part prosecco (I dis’d earlier, but there are good ones)
1 part bubbly water (get your soda stream, but pellegrino works)
Build in your glass
Garnish with a slice of orange

Wine glass, or spritz glass

Cocktail shaker

Ice

Citrus squeezer

Cynar

Lemons

Passion fruit syrup, or liqueur
-
Prosecco
-
Orange
Jule’s Como Spritz Version
Special shout out to Seneca restaurant here in San Diego for the inspiration!
1 oz cynar
¾ oz lemon juice
3/4 oz passion fruit syrup, or Cinola Passion fruit liqueur
3 oz prosecco
Add cynar, lemon juice, and passion fruit syrup into a shaker filled with ice and shake.
Double strain into a glass filled with ice and 3 oz of prosecco.
Garnish with an orange slice!
