Devil’s Margarita, perfect for Doja Cat herself
The devilish stars of the show is the Ghost Pepper simple syrup and the red wine float. Fair warning to be careful with those ghost peppers, a little goes a long way. And if you don’t want it so spicy, opt for jalapeños!
Here’s how to make it:
First make your ghost pepper simple syrup
Equal parts water & sugar
3-4 slices of ghost pepper, a little goes a long way
Add to a saucepan on medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Let simmer for 2-4 minutes and remove peppers.
Let cool & strain.
To make our Margarita:
Add to a cocktail shaker
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz ghost pepper syrup
1.5 oz Mezcal, or tequila
3/4 oz orange liqueur
Add ice and shake!
Strain into a glass, with or without ice (though I recommend ice since we went spicy)
Add 1-2 oz red wine float on top.
Use a red pepper to garnish with devil horns!
Happy Halloween, cheers!
Do you taste the wine on top and if so, does it taste weird with the marg flavors?
Where did you get the ghost pepper syrup?
You make it! The syrup recipe is above.
