Here's how to make one:
Let’s make one at home:
1.5 oz Pisco
1/2 oz Mezcal, this is optional - if omitting use 2 oz Pisco
3/4 oz blood orange juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 egg white
Add to a cocktail shaker and dry shake!
Add ice and shake again.
Double strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora glass.
Garnish with a fresh blood orange slice!
Xoxo, cheers
Tips:
Pisco is a grape-based brandy that originates from Peru or Chile. Look for a quality pisco brand to ensure the best flavor for your cocktail.
If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can adjust the amount of simple syrup to your liking.
Don't skip the dry shake step. It might seem unconventional, but it creates a luscious texture and enhances the overall experience of the cocktail.
Experiment with different garnishes like a sprig of fresh mint or a dehydrated citrus slice to personalize your Blood Orange Pisco Sour.
The Blood Orange Pisco Sour is a delicious and vibrant twist on a classic cocktail. With its eye-catching appearance and tangy flavor, it's sure to be a hit at your next gathering or a relaxing evening at home.
