Things to do
Visit Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel & El Jardin: This is the church you see almost everywhere, it’ll be hard to miss. Highly recommend walking by at night for live music and dancing near and around.
It’s hard to pinpoint just one, but I highly recommend visiting art museums. There are so many around it’s easy to stumble into one. So walk through the town and don’t be scared to pop your head in.
Visit El Charco de Ingenio: The beautiful botanical gardens if you’re looking for more of a nature adventure.
Visit the Hot Springs: Seven miles from San Miguel de Allende is Escondido Place which has indoor and outdoor thermal pools, fed by the natural springs
My favorite thing was their markets! Make sure to check when they’re open but here are some: Ignacio Ramírez Market, Saturday Organic Market, Mercado de Artesanias, Mercado de San Juan de Dios.
Visit the park El Chorro it’s beautiful and sometimes there are artists working which is a lovely sight to walk through.
There are so many boutique clothing stores, we spent a whole day shopping. Highly recommend walking off the beaten path and stumble into these boutique stores.
