Frozen Watermelon Margarita

Frozen Watermelon Margarita because we all deserve a little liquid sunshine this week, right?

Watermelon isn’t quite is season here yet in California, so I went and got pre chopped/frozen watermelon chunks from the freezer section at my grocery store. When watermelons are in season, chop that bad boy up into chunks, place in a freezer bag and freeze for your future watermelon margaritas

1 cup frozen watermelon chunks
2 oz tequila
3/4 oz Cointreau
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz agave
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of fresh lime zest
For added slush, add 1 cup ice
Rim: Tajin

Add to a blender and blend until smooth.
Add to your favorite margarita glass.
Garnish with a fresh lime wheel.
