If you’re a fan of margaritas and love the taste of coconut, then you’ll definitely want to try this Coconut Margarita with Tequila and Mezcal. This tropical twist on a classic cocktail combines the flavors of creamy coconut, smoky mezcal, and smooth tequila for a delicious and refreshing drink that’s perfect for any occasion.
Here’s how to make one:
1.5 oz tequila Blanco
1/2 oz Mezcal
3/4 oz Cointreau
1 oz lime juice
1 oz coconut milk
1/2 oz agave syrup
Pinch of sea salt
Add ice and shake!
Rim glass with salt & fresh lime zest
Add ice and strain (or double strain but I’m in a rush for the weekend)
Garnish with a little fresh nutmeg on top & a lime wheel!
Xoxo, cheers
The combination of tequila and mezcal creates a smoky and complex flavor profile that’s perfectly balanced by the creamy sweetness of the coconut cream. The lime juice adds a tartness that cuts through the richness of the coconut, while the agave nectar provides a subtle sweetness that ties everything together.
This cocktail is perfect for sipping on a warm summer day, or for serving at a beach-themed party. It’s also a great option for those who love the flavors of a classic margarita but want to mix things up with something a little different.
