Spicy Grapefruit Margarita
A refreshing summer margarita with grapefruit juice, lime, blanco tequila, and a homemade jalapeño simple syrup that brings the heat in the best way.

Ingredients
  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz jalapeño simple syrup*
  • Salt for the rim
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Ice
Jalapeño Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar white granulated
  • 1/2 jalapeno, sliced
Instructions
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and jalapeño simple syrup.
  • Add ice and shake until chilled.
  • Rim a glass with salt and fill it with fresh ice.
  • Strain the cocktail into the glass.
  • Optional: top with a splash of soda water.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel or a thin slice of jalapeño for flair.
Jalapeño Simple Syrup
  • Combine water, sugar, and jalapeño slices in a small pot over medium-high heat.
  • Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then bring to a gentle boil.
  • Lower to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let steep for 15+ minutes.
  • Strain out the jalapeño and let cool. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
