Servings 1 London Fog
Equipment
  • 1 Milk Frother
  • 1 Tea Kettle
  • Hot Toddy Mugs
Ingredients
  • 2 Earl Grey Tea Bags I like it strong
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 3/4 oz lavender and vanilla bean honey syrup
  • 2-3 oz Warm-frothed whole milk or milk alternative of choice to top (I don’t want to put an amount because everyone’s milk preference is different!)
  • Optional Dried Lavender
Lavender Vanilla Bean Honey Syrup
  • 1/2 cup honey, a Clover honey works nice here!
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh lavender
  • 1/2 vanilla bean split in two, and split down the middle to expose seeds
  • 1/2 cup water
Instructions
  • Start by making your syrup, see below.
  • Once that’s ready, add water to your kettle and turn it on.
  • While your kettle is heating up, smoke your mug on a heat-safe
  • board by using a match to light your mound of dried lavender.
  • Smoke the glass for about a minute or two before adding your two tea bags.
  • Fill with your hot water about 3/4 of the way full.
  • Let steep for at least 3-5 minutes before removing the tea bags.
  • Add in your honey syrup to the warm tea.
  • Top with your warm frothed milk of choice!
Lavender Vanilla Bean Honey Syrup
  • Add all ingredients to a saucepan and place on medium heat.
  • Stir until the honey has incorporated with the water to create that syrup-like consistency.
  • Let simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  • Remove the lavender sprigs from the pot at this point if you want to avoid an overbearing lavender flavor, some are more sensitive than others!
  • Let cool & strain.
  • Store in the fridge for 2-4 weeks!
