Blueberry Basil Lemonade
This Blueberry Basil Lemonade is a vibrant, hand-juiced summer pitcher drink that works beautifully as a mocktail or cocktail. Fresh lemon, blueberry basil syrup, and a whole lot of sunshine.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6–8 lemons
  • 3 cups cold water
  • ¾ cup blueberry basil simple syrup recipe below
  • Ice
  • Garnish: fresh blueberries basil leaves
Blueberry Basil Syrup
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 small handful of basil leaves
Instructions
  • In a large pitcher, stir together lemon juice, cold water, and syrup.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more syrup if needed.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour to serve.
  • Garnish each glass with blueberries and basil.
  • Option to add spirit of choice to each glass: vodka, tequila, or even gin!
Blueberry Basil Syrup
  • In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients over medium heat.
  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries begin to burst.
  • Remove from heat and let steep 10 minutes.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve and chill until ready to use.
