The summer spritz you didn’t know you needed.
Meet your new favorite Aperol Spritz remix, one with a bold tequila twist and a spicy-sweet strawberry & hot honey blend that brings the heat and the refreshment. This is not your average spritz. This is a “where did you get that drink?” kind of spritz.
Think Aperol… but upgraded with juicy berries, zesty lime, and a kiss of chili. Perfect for sipping al fresco or for that first round of the evening when you want to impress without trying too hard.

Why This Recipe Works
- Aperol gives the drink its signature bitter-orange spritz base.
- Strawberries + hot honey + lime create a custom spicy fruit syrup with depth and brightness.
- Tequila blanco adds earthiness and structure, balancing the sweet and citrusy elements.
- Prosecco and sparkling water top things off for that bubbly finish we all love.
This cocktail feels like a vacation in a wine glass: just the right amount of unexpected.

Tequila Aperol Spritz with Strawberry & Hot Honey
Ingredients
- 1 oz tequila blanco
- 2.5 oz spicy Aperol mix
- 3 oz Prosecco
- 1 oz sparkling water
- 1 cup Aperol
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1 tbsp white granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp hot honey
- 1 lime, juiced
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a wine glass filled with ice
- Mix & garnish with lime & a strawberry slice
- Blend all ingredients, strain, and refrigerate until ready to use.
Hosting Tips & Variations
- Make it a pitcher: Scale up and prep the Aperol mix in advance. Top each glass with bubbles for max fizz.
- Zero-proof version: Swap Aperol for Lyre’s Italian Spritz and use a NA sparkling wine or soda.
- Too spicy? Dial down the hot honey or add a splash of regular syrup.
- No blender? Muddle the strawberries with lime and sugar, stir in Aperol.
Perfect For:
- Spritz hour with a twist
- Girls’ night before the group dinner
- Backyard hangs with a snacky cheese plate
- When you want a fun, flirty drink without the sugar overload
